Testing the fasting diet

So lately there are many diets on line to test and try out as everybody is a dietician or expert in that field right?

Well so they say anyway I have been dieting on and off for the last 2 years, trying different things that either build me muscle or lose me weight depending if im bulking or cutting.

So for the last month I thought i would try to lose a little Fluffyness from the mid range by testing the fasting diet that everyone is raving about .

Although I have not been as strict with my eating habits on this fasting diet I am getting results.

First of all let me elaborate what the fasting diet is , although it sounds horrible like you starve yourself it is not as bad as  it sounds.

The diet basically consists of fasting or not eating at certain times of the day there are many different times you can choose ,however personally I chose to fast between 22:00 and 14:00 so between those 16 hours I only drink water you can have tea coffee but stay off the sugar and dairy if possible.

So between the hours of 14:00 and 22:00 I will eat my 4 meals  or 3 depending on what I eat.

I will put down what I eat later in this article.

The reason for me choosing these time where

1. I usually sleep for 8 of those hours.

2.I work evenings so It gives me energy at work.

3.I always find that I need the food at this time.

But you can choose when you want to fast no big issue there.

So as the video says about sticking to a fairly clean diet,and the pounds will come off there are thousands of good healthy diets available online ,in books and also dieticians , fitness instructors etc all have great information.

The whole idea in this form of intermittent fasting diet is when you are not eating your body still needs a source of food so your body can function so  basically it eats away at the fat cells in your body because there is nothing else for it to use as energy.

So my routine is I will workout for 2 to 3 hours daily and in that session I do cardio training as well as weights.

So when I train my body is in a fasted state and so it burns body fat that I do not need because there is nothing else to burn as fuel.

By doing this I am averging at the moment losing 4 to 6 pounds per week , now that is a good weight to lose not to much all in one go.

I am at the moment on my third week using this diet, I will spend 2 more weeks then see  how I progress from there as I do not want to lose to much weight as I am quite toned already.

My diet in the 8 hour window I try to eat fairly clean so I eat mainly chicken and rice fish and rice, I have green vegetables in the meals and some onions maybe a few tomatos to make a sauce.Also, I have egg whites and protein shake about 300 ml eggs and 35 g of protein in a shake, this is the first meal I have in the day due to me training in the morning , putting the protein back in is really important.If I am hungry in between meals I will have rice cakes or plain crackers , and before I go to bed or my last meal of the day is usually 55 g oats with almond milk some cashew nuts and 300 ml egg whites so I dont wake up hungry in the night.

Once a week I still have a treat meal so Usually a burger or pizza then a dessert as a treat. This is also important to me because of I eat clean all the time you do not get and bad fats carbs etc in your diet which is not a good thing.

Last note on this, is I am trying this out for me and it is at the moment working  okay,however everybody is different so always ask the right questions before dieting, get the correct information for yourself, what works for others may not work for you.

Do not be to paranoid if things do not go as planned tweak it a little and try again, all dieting is easy to lose weight you have got to eat right and exercise then the pounds will come off, no one said it is easy especially since society is constantly tempting us with those sugary treats every where we look,but if you stick to a plan get the right advice I am sure you will make it through any diet you try.
